We are pleased to welcome Steve Napper, Commissioner of Susquehanna Township, who was voted in to the Board in December.  Steve is a Commissioner of Susquehanna Township, which has been a PennPRIME Trust Member for 14 years.   Susquehanna is a first-class township in Dauphin County, with a population of 24,036, covering 15.2 square miles, and a staff of 71 full time employees.  Their Police Department is accredited by the PA Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission.

Steve is an enthusiastic member of the community.  He was elected to the Susquehanna Township Board of Commissioners in November 2011 and re-elected in 2016, chairing the Highways and Administration Committees.  Steve was appointed to the Susquehanna Township Sewer Authority in 2014.  He currently serves as a Right of Way/Utility Coordinator, with 29 years of project management experience in civil engineering on multimillion dollar construction projects with the PA Turnpike Commission.  In addition, he served in the US Army and is a retired veteran.

Steve is also active in his community as a Commander of the American Legion Post 1001.  Through mentoring services at the Dauphin County Schaffner Youth Center, he is also involved in teaching troubled young teens how to improve their lives. Steve’s charity work involves being the Founder & President of the Harrisburg Cigar Club Inc., a non-profit organization with a focus on youth development programs.  The experience gives him a deep appreciation for how non-profits improve the quality of life in our region one program at a time.

In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family and friends.  Steve and his wife Debbie live in Susquehanna Township and have two adult children.
